Title: Favorite Season

As a landscape artist, I can find a wide variety of scenery within easy reach of my Black Hills home. From the open cattle ranges to the north, to the jagged cliffs of Spearfish Canyon, or the vistas in Custer State Park, I often discover a new aspect of the hills I may have overlooked on a previous excursion. Never completely satisfied I've done a scene justice, I can return from one season to the next, striving to complete the "perfect" work of art. In "Favorite Season", I used the vibrant fall foliage to contrast the cool blues of rushing water.
